BACKGROUND: Here's a link to the wiki and a summary of the first half of the story.

PERSONALITY: Haruki is a kind young man who goes through life with a carefree and gentle attitude. He’s the one who helps everyone calm down when something goes wrong. He faced such an incident during the night of their first live show when Mafuyu Sato, his friend and fellow bandmate, broke his guitar strings hours before their show. He helped Mafuyu and Ritsuka Uenoyama, another friend and band member, calm down. He managed to get the venue to stall for them, until Uenoyama could get the strings and repair the guitar. He helped reassure Mafuyu when he didn’t have any lyrics for their song that he could still perform with them. He does his best to keep the mood friendly among everyone though there are times he will slip up and say something that will come off harsher than he intended. Whenever that happens he will apologize and offer to get a drink to make up for it. Haruki does his best to keep everyone’s spirits up and encourage them to keep going forward.

He’s a very welcoming and compassionate person to many people in his life. He gave advice to Uenoyama when he couldn’t figure out his feelings for Mafuyu which affected his sound. He welcomed Mafuyu Sato into the band when he first joined and helped him look for a part time job. He’s always around to help Uenoyama and give him some advice when he needs it. His kindness doesn’t just extend to his friends in his band. He’s a part time hair model for his friend that runs a salon and helps out at his barista job. If Haruki can help out then he will.

Sometimes due to his compassionate nature he will push his own feelings to the side. He does his best to reassure his friends that he’s alright. He doesn’t want others to worry about him so he does his best to hide his feelings. He did this when he let Akihiko Kaji stay with him when he needed a place to stay. Akihiko is his friend and fellow band member, but Haruki has been in love with him for two years. He’s kept his feelings hidden from him during their time together going to school and being in the same band, though he's willing to put it to the side to help Akihiko. It’s not that he doesn’t think his problems aren’t important. It’s easier for him to focus on others when he doesn’t want to acknowledge his own problems. Sometimes it comes back to haunt him when he can’t ignore those problems anymore. When that happens Haruki will reach out to his friends for help.

Another thing Haruki has problems with is his talent. Haruki plays bass in their band and he loves music. He helps promote their band online, books the live show for them, and settles the behind the scenes business that’s needed to help their band move forward. He’ll encourage everyone to play their best and will be there to help them with their sound. Mafuyu, Akihiko, and Ritsuka have musical talents that sometimes Haruki becomes insecure about his own talent. He tries not to let it show or stop him from performing.

Sometimes despite his carefree nature he can become jealous. It doesn’t stay around for long, he tries to reason it away before it can grow, he still feels it from time to time. His jealousy comes out whenever Ritsuka’s sister, Yayoi, comes around Akihiko. However, it doesn’t stay around for long. He will be stern if he has to be such as when he reminded Mafuyu and Ritsuka about not being obvious about their relationship since it would be traced back to their band and he doesn’t want them to face any backlash from it.

Haruki does his best to be the reasonable one in their group there are times when he loses his cool. He can become flustered from compliments on his talent. When Akihiko pointed out how much they appreciated him, Haruki became shy and didn’t believe him. He may be patient, but there are times he can get irritated, mostly when Ritsuki and Mafuyu don't follow his warning about keeping their relationship a secret. Other times it can be if he feels like he’s being ignored or when he’s not being taken seriously. Haruki doesn’t stay angry long, though when he does get angry it’s because he’s been pushed to an edge where he needs to get his feelings out. Once he does he goes back to being calm again. He can also be stubborn and will fuss when he’s irritated too.

Haruki is a kind, compassionate, and sweet young man who approaches life who cares about music, his friends, and the other important things in his life. He’s still learning about the curve balls that can happen when it comes to music, love, and life. He'll take it one step at a time with his friends by his side.
